SAN DIEGO ALIVE!
Staying in shape still fits with her hectic life

UNION-TRIBUNE

October 21, 2008

San Diego Alive occasionally visits very busy people who manage to stay in great shape, so we can ask them how they do it. This week we're shining a spotlight on Shanna Nelson, the executive vice president of Jazzercise. She manages the general direction of the company with Judith Sheppard Missett while overseeing the Jazzercise Management Team.

Nelson leads several classes a week at the Oceanside Jazzercise studio. She is also the mother of two girls – Skyla, 6, and Sienna, 3. Her husband, Chad Nelson, is often out of town on business, which leaves her in charge of the household for several days in a row. She talks about her method for balancing a demanding workload and busy family life.
