EAST COUNTY: Crews from four agencies extinguished a fire at a Spring Valley home yesterday afternoon, officials said.
The blaze was reported about 3:10 p.m. at a home on Parkbrook Street near Noeline Avenue. The fire started in a shed, spread to a pile of objects in the yard and caused minor heat damage to one side of the house, a fire spokesman said.
The blaze was brought under control about 3:25 p.m. by firefighters from the San Miguel Fire Protection District, Lemon Grove, Bonita and El Cajon.
There were no injuries. The cause was being investigated, and no damage estimate was available. –M.A. & P.R.
